This was the boy's final league game of the season as they hosted St. Mary's in Mounthawk.
They gave their best effort but came up short on this occasion.
They had a good second and third quarter with nice play from David, Adam and Alex. Jack got some good drives to the basket and Jude shot well from the 3.
With the league behind them now winning 5 of their 9 games they look forward to the Division 2 Plate final on Sunday against Bobcats which is sure to be a great game.
A huge thanks to all the boys for their commitment to training all year and to Tomás for all the coaching and dedication to the lads.
They learned loads and enjoyed the year with some great wins along the way.
Just 1 more game to go so lets bring home the plate!!

Tralee hosted this plate semi final encounter and second meeting this season with KCYMS.
They settled well into the game with some good defensive play and scores from Callum, Rodhan and Nathan with a 3 on the buzzer to lead by 4 at the first quarter.
KCYMS upped the tempo in the second quarter and outscored the home side to end the half all square at 19.
A very strong third quarter for the home side and in particular Nathan saw them outscore the visitors 15pts to 0 giving them a comfortable lead heading into the fourth quarter.
With the final in their sights cool heads prevailed and they held out for the win.
A huge well done to the boys again on a great team performance as they take their spot in the final against Bobcats on the 19th.

Tralee made the visit to Rathmore Secondary school gym for this league encounter in a closely contested game.
Rathmore settled quicker into the game and it was a 3 from Nathan at the end of the quarter kept just 2 between them.
Tralee were still finding it difficult to settle into the game which was scrappy at times but tipped away with scores from Jack, Luke, Adam and Dylan but Rathmore had extended their lead to 7 at half time.
Tralee got the measure of their opponants in the third quarter and outscored them 11pts to 7 coming fighting back from a 12pt deficit with 3s from Nathan and Jude to leave just 3 between them at the end of the 3rd.
Tralee fought hard in the 4th and with back to back 3s from Nathan and Jude and excellent defence work finished with a flurry of scores from both sides to leave it level at full time.
The extra time was tense with noone wanting to make a mistake and it was Tralee's Jack Noonan who got the first score followed by Dylan Walsh to see them lead by 4.
Rathmore weren't giving up too easy and a massive 3 from their number 9 followed by a free throw from 2 as Tralee were in foul trouble saw it level again with only seconds on the clock.
Tralee inbounded the ball and worked a lovely movement up the court ending in an excellent assist from Jack to Nathan to lead by 2 which saw out the win.
A huge congratulations to the boys again for coming back from such a deficit and never giving up.

This was the boys best performance of the season with everyone giving it their all.
They started well settling into the game with very controlled play from Jude setting up Nathan and Callum for nice scores while getting 9 himself.
This continued for the second quarter with Luke Gannon & Dylan scoring well and Jamie, Rodhan and Barry playing well on defence.
A massive 3rd quarter from Tralee outscoring Kenmare 15 pts to 4 with Nathan and Luke sharing the scores and excellent defence from Adam, David and Conor.
The final quarter finished with a flurry of scores from Jack, Jamie and Conor and again excellent defence and decision making throughout to put them in to the semi final stages of the competition.
Well done to the boys who are getting better with every game.

Kenmare started well with some good rebounding and led by 6 after the 1st quarter.
Magic settled well in the second quarter with some lovely scores from Rodhan and Jack.
They tightened up their defense which saw them leading by 1 at the half.
A very strong 3rd quarter from Magic with Jude, Dylan, David and Jack chipping in scores they outscored the visitors 16 pts to 5.
However Kenmare were not finished and came back strong in the final quarter but Magic held out with good concentration which forced a few turnovers and the resulting scores from Dylan and Jamie saw them finish with a well deserved win.
Well done again to all the boys who are improving and learning from every game.

Tralee were the visitors to Killorglin Sports Complex to take on the league leaders KCYMS and it was the visitors who got off to a very strong start with Luke, David and Nathan starting in excellent form.
They kept momentum in the second with some good defence from Jamie and lovely 3s from Jack and Jude they led by 5 at the break.
However KCYMS came back very strong after the break and were getting a handle on the game with some lovely scores they outscored the Tralee side 15pts to 4 in the third quarter.
Some poor choice shots and a succession of turnovers from Tralee saw them outscored 15pts to 0 score in the 4th quarter after an unstoppable performance by the KCYMS number 4 Nojus Motevivs who scored 22pts.
Well done to all the boys for all their hard work and they will have learned a lot from this game going forward.

Bobcats settled well in the 1st quarter but Jude and Callum were playing well for Magic and picking up some nice scores.
Magic worked hard on defence but were finding the physicality tough to get through on offence but Dylan and Jamie kept the scoreboard ticking over there was 7 in it at halftime.
A very good 3rd quarter for Magic with Jack Noonan very impressive making some lovely drives and picking off lovely assists they outscored Bobcats to put just 1 between them heading into the 4th quarter.
Both teams were giving it their all and with a 3 pointer from Jude they were level with just over 2 mins left.
A tense 2 minutes followed and with Magic turning over the ball the resulting 3 pointer from Bobcats saw them pull ahead with time beginning to run out.
Another 2 turnovers and resulting scores saw Bobcats coming away with the win.
A great performance from all the boys again tonight.

The boys continued their good run with another excellent team performance tonight.
Every player gave it their all.
Some very impressive rebounding by Dylan, Jamie and Darragh and excellent offensive play by Jack, Luke and Adam.
Barry, Alex, David and Callum contributed well with great runs on the fast breaks leading to a great spread of scores and with Dylan winning everything under his own board he contributed an excellent 12pts to the game.

A fantastic first quarter saw Tralee settle quickly into the game with Callum Ross shooting very well and Nathan and Darragh dominating under the boards they led by 9 at the 1st quarter.
They stayed strong in the second quarter with Dylan , Jamie and Luke picking up some nice scores they led 23 to 18 at half time.
St Marys picked up a few scores from turnovers at the start of the second half but with Jack, David, Jude, Rodhan, Adam and Conor all working hard and contributing to what was a fantastic team performance Tralee held out for an 8 point win.

Nathan Hill O'Shea played very well on both defence and offence.

It was a home derby tie between Magic and St Brendans in Moyderwell.
Brendans took an early lead and capitalised on the slow start by Magic to lead 21 to 7 at half time.
Although Magic were playing well they were having difficulty driving to the basket with the very physical St Brendans zone play.
There was some good rebounding by Nathan Hill O'Shea and Dylan Walsh but St Brendans won out in the end in a game that was very mismatched.
Well done to all the boys for the great effort they gave and for keeping concentration.

Tralee began their League campaign with a home game versus St. Colmans.
They settled well in the first quarter with a strong performance from Jack Noonan and both sides trading scores.
Tralee were leading by 1 at the first quarter.
The second quarter was very level between both sides and Tralee led by 1 at half time.
They stayed neck and neck throughout and with Tralee missing a succession of free throws they were trailing by 3 with 1.33 left on the clock.
Jack Noonan scored a free throw and with a fantastic turnover and subsequent layup by Dylan Walsh the game was tied at full time 39 each.
There was 3 minutes of overtime and with Colmans in foul trouble Tralee held their heads to finish with a 4 point win.
It was a great competitive game with end to end basketball and a game that will certainly stand to the boys going forward.

Tralee were slow to settle in the first quarter and the scores were not coming for them.
They upped the ante in the second quarter and settled much better and picked up some nice scores from David Cullinan and Dylan Walsh.
They continued the second half with a fast pace with great rebounding from Darragh Field and good defence from Jack Noonan.
But it was Luke Gannon who put in a man of the match performance with 25 pts in total he scored 2 lovely 3 pointers when they were needed to settle the team and had just fantastic ball carrying and driving skills - he was a thorn in Colmans side all night.

Great first quarter for Rodhan Culloo who was in very good form driving through the defense and getting some lovely scores.
Glenbeigh had a very strong 2nd quarter and pulled away on the scoreboard but Tralee never gave up and fought for every rebound with Dylan Walsh and Jamie O'Keeffe impressive under the boards.
The whole team fought hard with a good team performance but just came up short in the end.
Great effort made by everyone this evening as was evident from the spread of scores.

Tralee opened their season with a well fought win against a very physical Kenmare side.
Despite a brillant first quarter from Callum Ross and Darragh Field Tralee found themselves trailing by 1 at the end of the first quarter.
They regrouped at the break and settled into the second quarter with lovely play from Ródhan Culloo and good shooting from Luke Gannon they were ahead by 6 at the half.
Another good quarter from Tralee saw them ahead by 7 at the end of the third.
They started to tire in the fourth and Kenmare fought back strong and with Tralee failing to convert but holding strong on defence they held out for a 1 pt win.
Next game is away to Glenbeigh on Tuesday 11th.
