Our Academy returns this Thursday 1st Sept 6-7pm in Kerry Sports Academy, MTU.

U10s (born in 2013) will start on Monday 5th Sept 5.45-7pm in Mounthawk, followed by a session on Saturday 9.45-11am also in Mounthawk .

We have 3 experienced coaches heading up our Academy:

Darragh ‘Skinny’ O’Hanlon has won Superleague and National Cup titles with UCC Demons and most recently with Tralee Warriors. Darragh has been involved in coaching in our club for many years. As a coach he likes to develop the local players and creates a fun and positive experience around the game.

Caitriona Collins has made the transition from Tralee Magic player, joining the club in 2007, to coach. She has been coaching in our academy since 2014 when she got involved as part of her TY extracurricular program. Caitriona has been coaching various age groups in our club, gaining valuable experience working with other coaches. She is also a referee with the KOA and a regular table official for Warriors on Saturday nights in the Complex. Caitriona is looking forward to getting to work with the Academy & U10 groups this season alongside the other coaches and Ignas Šijanas, the new Director of Coach and Player Development for Tralee Magic.

Daniel ‘Jacko’ Jokubaitis was a fan favourite at academy last year and we are delighted to have him back again for this season. Jacko plays for Tralee Warriors alongside Skinny and will be bringing along some of his other Warriors teammates to some of the academy and u10 sessions.

All Academy and u10s will receive a T-shirt and new members will also get a basketball.
