v St Josephs

On Wednesday 21st February our u18 boys continued their good form in Division 1 of the county league against St Josephs of Duagh. We started brightly and our aggressive defence led to a number of turnovers which we turned into some fantastic transition layups. Jamie and Sean Heaslip were prominent on offence in the first quarter and we led 24-13 at the first break. Josh and Sean Og led our offence in the second period and with our defence still working hard we extended our lead to 47-20 by half time. Our full squad contributed in the first half with all players getting court time. We started slowly in the third quarter and our flow was disrupted but we gathered ourselves and managed to ensure we headed into the final period leading 57-40.

Ryne and Johnny found their shooting touch at this point and this helped ensure we extended our lead to secure a 74-51 win. Sam,Conor and Tadgh played fantastic defense and has some great baskets and assists respectively.

We have one tough game left in our campaign away to Duagh before the season finishes.
