Tralee Magic U16 Girls took their first County Cup in some years. The Magic scored the first bucket of the game, but it was clear that the path to victory would not come easily.
This final was a low scoring, physical game that saw both teams in, or tethering on, foul trouble in all four quarters.
The Magic led for most of the game, but Castleisland stayed within striking distance, never letting the score get unmanageable. However, Tralee Magic was set on taking the cup and staved off for the win, 46-42.
While there were clear leaders on the court guiding the Magic to the win, dogged rebounding and contributions across the team were the reason the team won.
Well done to the girls! Well done also to their very dedicated coach, Jason, and Team Manager, Ranjna.
