Hula Hoops National Cup:

Our U18 Men had some great performances in Cork this month with wins over Limerick Lions, Ballincollig and Kestrels. They qualified for the quarterfinals of the National Cup with an away draw to Belfast Star to be played in early December.

Our U20 Men were defeated by Ballincollig in the first round of their National Cup campaign.

Jr. NBA:

Our Jr. NBA basketballers were busy this month with two cluster events and playing at halftime of the Garvey’s Tralee Warriors game vs Belfast Star.

Sunday evenings have been a hive activity with the Blennerville Grizzlies and the Scoil Eoin Lakers coming together to show off their basketball skills and playing games. Our Jr. NBA head coaches Darragh and Jimmy and our TY coaches have been doing excellent work in the schools developing and promoting the game of basketball. Our Grizzlies and Lakers were lucky enough to catch a glimpse of the new addition to the Warriors - Keith Jumper impressed with his dunking skills.

Annual Christmas Basketball Marathon Fundraiser:

We officially launched our Annual Christmas Basketball Marathon Fundraiser in association with the Kerry Hospice Foundation. It will take place on Saturday 15th December in Mounthawk. Sponsorship cards have been given to club members. Please support this event.

U10 blitz:

Our u10 boys and girls made the journey to Athea on a foggy Sunday morning for their second blitz of the year. Their coaches were very proud of how the teams are improving in every game. Keep up the good work!

Other news:

Tralee Imperials club members Dáire and Leeroy, along with Rap from St. Brendan’s, were selected on the 15 man panel of the 2018/2019 U18 Irish team - a fantastic achievement!

The rise of Tralee basketball was also evident with some fantastic results at schools level with many Imperials members involved. Best of luck to all teams in the next stages of their competition.

Academy coach and senior player Robbie coached the UCC team in the National Fresher’s tournament which took place in UL, with the team making it to the semi-final.

Helen was busy going around to teams taking orders for our new club gear so that they can be wrapped up in time to put under your Christmas tree.
