ralee Magic is a volunteer-run basketball club, and with around 400 children playing across our teams, we simply cannot leave the work of running those teams to the same small group of people.

As we head into the new season, we are asking parents to become actively involved with their child’s team.

🏀 If you have basketball experience, at any level, please consider getting involved in coaching. You don’t need to arrive with all the answers. Our coaches work together, share knowledge and support one another.

💙 If you have absolutely no basketball experience, we need you too. There are plenty of jobs around a team and around the club that don’t involve coaching — helping team managers, organising, assisting on game days, table duties and the many small jobs that make a season work.

You will never be asked to take on something you’re not comfortable doing, and volunteers will be fully supported.

We have brilliant young players in this club and we want to continue giving them the coaching, competition and opportunities that have helped so many Magic players develop and succeed. But a club of this size needs a community of adults behind them.

Please don’t assume somebody else will do it. If every team had a few more parents willing to take on one small role, it would make an enormous difference.
