In an important change to our usual routine, we’ll be running trials for next year’s U14 Boys a little earlier than usual.
This is for boys born in 2013 and 2014.
Why the earlier timing?
We have our eye on the long-term development of our boys. We know young players benefit from having structured, age-appropriate training in place early, with time to build skills, movement, confidence and good habits across the off-season rather than trying to cram everything into a short pre-season block. Sport Ireland’s long-term player development model also highlights the importance of the right training at the right stage, while well-planned post-season and off-season work supports development and reduces injury risk.
Our aim is to give players the best possible start for next season by getting them into their squads early and back in the gym for post-season work as soon as possible.
📍 Monday 23rd March — 7pm to 8pm, Mounthawk
📍 Wednesday 25th March — 7pm to 8pm, Mounthawk
There may also be an additional session the following week if needed, with details to be confirmed.
Please share with any current players, and with any other boys born in 2013 or 2014 who may be interested in playing next season, so everyone has the opportunity to be placed in a squad where they can be competitive.
