Tralee Magic Socia-Ball started last year as a simple idea: give women a place to switch off for an hour, get a sweat on, have a laugh, and leave feeling better than when you walked in. No league table, no pressure โ just basketball, fitness and a bit of craic midweek.
One of our favourite nights from year one was the Socia-Ball blitz, where we raised funds for the Together for Fiadh Charity. It was competitive enough to keep it spicy, but the best part was seeing the place full of smiles (and a few surprisingly accurate jump shots).
This week we also had an official presentation of our new Socia-Ball gear, kindly sponsored by Molly Jโs at Benners Hotel Tralee. Itโs a serious upgrade โ and weโre genuinely grateful for the support. Sponsorship like this helps keep programmes like Socia-Ball growing, and keeps womenโs sport moving forward locally.
If youโve been hovering on the edge thinking โIโd love to try it but Iโm not sureโฆโ โ come along anyway. Bring a friend, or come solo and weโll mind you. Weโve spots for a few more brave women ๐
