Two evenly matched teams, four competitive quarters, and a finish that had everyone leaning in — this was U12 basketball at its best 💙
Killarney Cougars shaded the opening quarter (4–6), with both teams defending hard and making every point feel earned. Tralee Magic settled quickly in the second, sharing the ball well and pushing the pace to win the period 12–6 and take a 16–12 lead into half-time.
Cougars came out flying after the break and showed real grit, winning the third quarter 2–6 to level the game at 18–18. It set up a brilliant final period, with both teams trading stops, rebounds and hustle plays.
In the fourth, Magic found that extra gear when it mattered most — strong defence, smart decision-making, and calm finishes helped the home side take the quarter 8–2 and close out a fantastic 26–20 win.
