This Mother’s Day, we want to shine a spotlight on some of the true driving forces behind our club—the mams, moms, stepmoms, godmothers, grandmothers, aunts, the dads who double-job as moms, - the mother figures in all their different shapes and sizes . You’re the real MVPs of Tralee Magic Basketball Club.

You’re the ones making sure boots are packed, snacks are stocked, and kids actually get to training. You drag sleepy players out of bed for early matches, cheer from the sidelines, slilent support and somehow manage to offer encouragement even after a tough loss.

And that’s just the start.

So many of you go beyond your own families to support the wider club—volunteering as coaches and team managers, helping at events, organising lifts, selling raffle tickets, and keeping everyone in the loop. You do the invisible work that makes everything else possible. Tralee Magic wouldn’t be the club it is without your time, energy, patience, and sense of humour.

When moms and mother figures are involved in sport, kids thrive. They learn that showing up matters. They feel supported. They see what commitment and community look like in action. And whether they say it or not—they notice.

So to all of you who support our players, our teams, and our club—thank you. Your behind-the-scenes magic is what keeps the whole thing running.
