Tralee Magic’s young stars put on a fantastic display at St. Brendan’s Annual U12 Boys Bruddy Burrows Tournament today, reaching the semi-finals before bowing out to a strong Portlaoise Panthers side. The lads gave it everything, showing real heart and skill throughout the competition.

To be one of only two Kerry teams to reach the final four—alongside St. Joseph’s—is a testament to the talent and hard work of this group. Given the high standard of basketball on display all day, it was no easy feat, and the boys did the club proud.

Under the guidance of Coach David, the team is growing into a well-drilled, disciplined unit, sharpening their skills and building strong court chemistry. Their defensive intensity, ball movement, and composure under pressure are improving with every game. This tournament was another step forward in their development, proving that they can compete at a high level. The future of Magic basketball is looking bright!

A huge thank you to St. Brendan’s for organizing such a fantastic tournament. The Bruddy Burrows Tournament continues to be a highlight of the basketball calendar, and we appreciate all the effort that goes into making it such a great experience for players and coaches alike.

A special thank you to Roy from Sandy Feet Farm for providing tefreshments to keep the boys hydrated and energised for the day. They felt like real pros with their treats—nothing like a few jellies to keep the energy up!

Well done, lads. Onwards and upwards!
