The U14 Girls Division 3B team played their final home game of the season in Mounthawk, putting in a determined and spirited performance against an undefeated Gneeveguilla side. Despite the 24-40 final scoreline, the girls showed immense teamwork, passing the ball well and supporting each other throughout the game.
From the start, it was clear that Tralee Magic was ready for the challenge, keeping pace in the early stages. Strong defensive work and great movement on offense saw them competing well, with some excellent play that just didn’t always translate into points on the scoreboard. However, their effort and resilience never wavered, as they continued to work hard for each other in every quarter.
Gneeveguilla, who have remained unbeaten this season, demonstrated their strength, particularly in the second half, where they extended their lead. Despite this, the Magic girls battled to the end, showing great commitment and teamwork that will stand to them as they prepare for their final game of the season away to Colemans on Friday, March 7th.
A big thank you to Gneeveguilla for the competitive and sporting game, as well as to their coaches, Honorah and Mary, for leading their team so well. Appreciation also goes to referee John for officiating, to Nora and William for their work on the table, to all the parents and supporters who came out to cheer on both teams.
Well done to the Magic girls for their hard work and determination—one more game to go!
