Tralee Magic U16 girls gave everything they had in a tough Plate semi-final against a strong St. Anne’s side. From the opening tip, both teams played with intensity, battling for every possession. However, despite creating plenty of scoring opportunities, Magic just couldn’t get the ball to drop when it mattered.
St. Anne’s started strong, edging ahead in the first half and maintaining their lead with solid defense and accurate shooting. Tralee Magic fought hard throughout, with great hustle from all the girls, particularly in the second half when they pushed to close the gap. However, St. Anne’s kept their composure and secured a well-earned 33-22 win to advance to the final.
A huge thank you to coach Jason and manager Nora for guiding the team and keeping spirits high, and to our dedicated table officials, Anne and Declan, for their great work. We also appreciate the efforts of referees Cliona and Mark for officiating the game.
Well done to the Magic girls for never giving up—there’s plenty to build on for the future! Thanks to St. Anne’s for a competitive and sporting game.
