Tralee Magic U14 Girls showed great determination in their latest league game against a well-drilled St. Anne’s team. Although the final scoreline favored the visitors, the Magic girls gave their all, with plenty of positive moments throughout the game.
The first quarter saw St. Anne’s come out strong, building an early lead with fast breaks and sharp shooting. Tralee Magic worked hard defensively, putting in great efforts to slow down the opposition’s attack. The team opened the scoring with a well-taken shot, and as the quarter progressed, they settled into the game, battling for rebounds and creating scoring opportunities.
In the second quarter, the Magic girls found their rhythm, moving the ball well and making smart passes. They were active on both ends of the court, grabbing rebounds and making important defensive stops. The team continued to press forward, adding more points to the scoreboard and showing great teamwork.
After halftime, Coach Ann encouraged the team to keep their energy up, and they responded well. They fought hard inside the paint, battling against taller opponents and showing resilience despite the pressure from St. Anne’s. Though the visitors maintained their lead, Magic never backed down, playing with heart and determination right until the final whistle.
Referee John Egan ensured the game flowed well, while table officials Emily and William did a great job keeping track of the action.

While the result didn’t go Magic’s way this time, the girls should be proud of their performance. They worked hard, learned valuable lessons, and will be ready for their next challenge. Well done to all players and coaches for a great effort!
