Tralee Magic Blue recorded a 56-26 victory over Caherciveen in their U14 Girls Division 3 Group A clash at Mounthawk. While Magic controlled the scoreboard, the visitors made sure they had to work for it, bringing plenty of energy and defensive pressure throughout the game.
A strong opening quarter saw Magic take a 15-4 lead, but Caherciveen responded with aggressive defense and quick breaks that kept the home side on their toes. The third quarter proved decisive, with Magic pulling away 16-4, but Caherciveen kept battling and edged the final quarter 14-13.
Despite the result, it was a competitive and entertaining contest, with both teams showing plenty of fight.
A big thank you to Aaron and Sam and their team for making the trip and to the officials—Reidin Mc Loughlin (Referee), Nora (Scorekeeper), and Critriona (Clock Operator)—for their efforts in ensuring a well-run game.
Well done to both teams!
