Venue: Mounthawk School Gym
Competition: Kerry County League – U14 Boys Division 1
Final Score: Tralee Magic 35 – 32 St. Paul’s Killarney
Our U14 Boys Division 1 team overcame a slow start to secure a well-earned victory over St. Paul’s Killarney in an exciting County League clash at Mounthawk School Gym last night.
St. Paul’s came out strong, quickly establishing a 9-point lead as Magic struggled to find their rhythm. However, the Magic boys gradually settled, improving their passing and tightening up on defense to work their way back into the game. The intensity grew as the match progressed, with both teams battling hard for every possession.
In a little role reversal, the Tralee Warriors SuperLeague team was in attendance and fully invested in the contest, which only added to the energy in the gym. Maybe giving our boys the boost they needed in the closing minutes of the game. As the clock ticked down to the final 90 seconds, the teams were tied, setting up a tense finish. Magic’s defensive pressure and sharp execution in the closing moments proved decisive, as they edged ahead to take the win by three points.
It was a strong team effort from Magic, showing resilience and composure to come away with the victory in a closely fought contest.
Well done Boys!
