U14 Boys First Division 1 Victory
Tralee Magic U14 Boys vs. St. Joseph’s, Duagh – 14/11/2024
The Tralee Magic U14 Boys made an impressive Division 1 debut in the county league, facing a seasoned St. Joseph’s team from Duagh in a game packed with excitement from start to finish. Though they initially fell behind 9-2, our players quickly found their footing, closing the first quarter down just 13-15. A determined defensive effort in the second quarter kept us neck-and-neck, with the teams tied 23-23 at halftime.
As the second half began, Duagh ramped up the intensity, briefly pulling ahead by 8 points. But the Magic stayed resilient, trimming the lead to 5 by the end of the third quarter. Entering the final period, our team delivered their best play yet, outscoring Duagh 17-8 and securing a thrilling 46-42 win.
This game was truly a full team effort, with everyone—from players on the court to the hype squad on the bench—playing a role in this historic victory. The U14 boys showed exceptional grit and teamwork, setting a promising tone for their Division 1 journey ahead.
