On Thursday evening we resumed our county league campaign against local rivals St Brendan’s. We started strongly and behind a great first quarter where our defence and transition game was effective we led 29-16 at the first break. The second quarter was a closer affair but with Sean Og running our offense and Jamie and Josh scoring freely we led at halftime 50-34. Johnny started to shoot well in the 3rd quarter and this opened up the floor for everyone else. Conor and Sean did a great job on the boards and got a few put backs to ensure we went into the 4th leading 70-52. Tadgh and Sam added to our performance in the last period and it was fitting as Tadgh hit a late basket to bring our score to 100 points.

Considering we hadn’t played together in over 6 weeks the boys played really well and did a great job of sharing the ball on offense. With 5 games left to play in the league we have a busy few weeks ahead.
