Magic u18s v St Brendans

On Wednesday evening we played our first country league game of the season against local rivals St Brendan’s. It was a high scoring encounter with fantastic basketball played by both teams. We started well and got into an early lead with Josh and Tomas especially prominent in the first quarter which ended with us ahead 28-17.  We made a few changes heading in to the 2nd period and Jamie Burke and Sean Óg in particular shone to help us to end the half ahead with a score of 54-37. Fionnan and Johnny contributed greatly in the 3rd as we led 75-52 at the  end of the period.  With everyone getting on the floor in the 4th it was great to see the depth in our squad. We had a great spread of scoring where everyone got on the scoresheet and with Sam, Ryne, Will,Tadgh, Conor and Sean playing their part in the last period we finished on top 93-76.
